AOR Dynamics is a Kansas City Metro based firearms training company. During my of law enforcement career, I determined there is a need for basic and intermediate firearms training for law enforcement officers and armed citizens.
For too many cops, the training ends once they leave the police academy. All too often, the only instruction cops get occurs during yearly in-service training. Unfortunately that training is often abbreviated and sometimes dated, leaving them unprepared for real-life encounters. AOR Dynamics was created to fill the void made by institutions and is intended to pick up where basic training leaves off.
There is a high priority placed on executing fundamental skills with consistency and accountability. It's my opinion that high level shooting is merely the fast and consistent application of fundamentals during stressful events. The goal is to improve firearm skills so they become second nature in order to free up space for problem solving.
I believe that training should reflect what actually occurs in the real world. Every drill is selected or developed so that it fits within an appropriate context, and is supported by actual data.
AOR Dynamics isn't just for cops. Law enforcement is the background that influences my perspective, but it's for all responsible citizens who are looking to improve their safety, competency and performance.
